Step 1 of 7

Start by downloading the FamilyPulse app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). The app is free to download, and you'll get a 3-day free trial when you sign up.

System Requirements: - iOS 14.0 or later - Android 8.0 or later

Search for "FamilyPulse" in your app store, or scan the QR code on our website to download directly.

2

Create Your Account

Step 2 of 7

Open the app and tap "Get Started" to create your account. You'll need:

  • Your email address
  • A secure password
  • Your name and phone number

You can also sign up using your Apple ID or Google account for faster registration.

Tip: Use an email address you check regularly - this is where you'll receive important alerts and call summaries.

3

Add Your Care Recipient

Step 3 of 7

After creating your account, you'll be prompted to add your first care recipient. This is the person who will receive wellness calls from our AI assistant.

Information needed: - Their name (how they'd like to be addressed) - Their phone number (landline or mobile) - Their time zone - Your relationship to them

Important: Make sure your loved one knows they'll be receiving calls from FamilyPulse. You should have their consent before adding them to the service.

4

Schedule Wellness Calls

Step 4 of 7

Now it's time to set up when calls will happen. Consider your loved one's routine:

Choosing the best time: - After breakfast (9-10 AM) is often ideal - Avoid meal times and nap times - Consider any regular appointments or activities

Setting the frequency: - Daily calls provide the most consistent monitoring - Weekday-only calls work well for some families - You can customize which days receive calls

Calls typically last 5-10 minutes, depending on the conversation.

5

Customize Wellness Questions

Step 5 of 7

FamilyPulse comes with a set of standard wellness questions, but you can customize these to fit your family's needs.

Default question categories: - General wellbeing ("How are you feeling today?") - Physical health ("Any pain or discomfort?") - Medication reminders - Safety questions - Social engagement

Adding custom questions: Tap "Add Custom Question" to add specific questions. Examples: - "Did you take your blood pressure medication?" - "Have you heard from your sister this week?" - "How was your doctor's appointment yesterday?"

6

Configure Alerts

Step 6 of 7

Set up how you want to be notified about important events.

Alert types: - Concern Detected: When the AI detects something that may need attention - Call Completed: Summary after each call (optional) - Missed Call: When your loved one doesn't answer - Multiple Missed Calls: Urgent alert after consecutive missed calls

Notification settings: - Push notifications (recommended) - Email notifications - SMS alerts (for critical concerns)

You can customize the urgency level for each alert type.

7

Invite Family Members

Step 7 of 7

Keep everyone in the loop by inviting other family members or caregivers.

Adding family members: 1. Go to Settings > Family & Sharing 2. Tap "Invite Family Member" 3. Enter their email address 4. Choose their access level

Access levels: - Caregiver: Full access to all features and settings - Family Member: View call summaries and receive alerts - View Only: Can only see call history

Each person creates their own FamilyPulse account and will be linked to your care recipient.

You're All Set!

Your first wellness call will go out at the scheduled time. You'll receive a summary after each call, and we'll alert you if our AI detects anything concerning.
